Stand Up For Seaton (SU4S)

Community Action for Seaton's Regeneration Area, 80% owned by Tesco - a floodplain on a World Heritage site bordered by nature reserves, tidal river, the sea and the unspoilt town. SU4S is a state of mind - no members, no structure, no politics. SU4S has objected to 2 planning applications by Tesco, including one for a massive superstore/dot com distribution centre which led to the recent closure on the site of 400 tourist beds with the loss of 150 jobs,a gym and pool - all used by locals.

"The truth about the Wetlands" TODAY

Just a reminder that EDDC has taken the Town Hall to have a "Truth about the Wetlands" event until 3 pm today.

It will also be held at the bird hide on the Marshes on Friday.

We encourage you to attend and ask questions - as we shall be doing. Report later.

I was very disappointed with this. The display was crammed into the Foyer of the Town Hall and it was very difficult to see the display.
The display was small and a real let down.

The idea is good, but with the education centre in Colyford, Seaton will not really benefit as a tourist destination by this.

The EDDC/Liatris politics behind it worries me.

Overall: I wanted to want it, but I couldn't
